Boy Scout Troop 1177 is chartered to the Foundry United Methodist Church, 8350 Jones Rd, Jersey Village, TX.
We meet on Monday nights. 7:00-8:30 in the Godwin-Wright Scout Building behind the Church.
Troop 1177 is a general interest troop with a varied program of camping, service and advancement. We camp monthly during the school year (except December) as well as a week long Summer Camp and various High Adventure Camp opportunities. Campouts include at least one cold weather backpacking trip, a canoeing trip, several camping outings throughout the state of Texas and Summer Camp and High Adventure outings.
We encourage and are fortunate to have tremendous adult participation in our Troop. Through the years, we have found that the likelihood of a young man enjoying and being sucessful in Scouting is directly linked to the quality of the leadership and the amount of parental support that he receives in Scouting.
