All About Us...

Boy Scout Troop 1177 is chartered to The Foundry United Methodist Church, 8350 Jones Road. Map to Foundry UMC.

We meet Monday nights, 7:00 - 8:30, in the Godwin-Wright Scout Building, located behind the church (check the calendar link to the left for exact schedule).

Troop 1177 is a general-interest troop with a varied program of camping, service and advancement. We camp out monthly during the school year (except for December) as well as a week-long summer camp during the summer and high-adventure trips for the older Scouts. Our December activity is typically a lock-in event at a bowling alley or indoor rock-climbing gym. Our campouts will include at least one hike-in wilderness campout, a canoeing trip and a week-long summer camp.

We encourage, and are fortunate to have tremendous parental support in our troop. Through the years we have found that the likelihood of a boy becoming Eagle is strongly linked to the amount of parental support that the boy receives in Scouting.
